Growth is the result of innovations based on peak competence, the exchange of knowledge and interaction between companies, researchers and the public sector; a so-called Triple Helix. This interaction exists in our region as does the unique geographical proximity of the parties involved. The expansive PEA Network promotes the development of Printed Electronics.
Unique opportunity for collaboration across borders
Members of the PEA Network includes the Municipality, the
University and the business community, all working together towards
the regional development of operations which are based on Printed
Electronics. The goal is, through this Network, to offer
participating companies the opportunity to exchange experiences and
draw upon research and development results. These results, in areas
such as product development, production and marketing activities
have been achieved in collaboration between the research institute
Acreo and Linköping University. The main participants in the
PEA Network are Linköping University, Acreo and Norrköping Science
Park. The municipalities of Norrköping and Katrineholm are also
committed to the project.
This collaboration focuses on the development of innovation and
entrepreneurship. One means of this is through Norrköping Science
Park's connection to the business incubator LEAD, which encourages
start-ups to establish in the region and thus gain access to
research, various production and printing methods and other support
functions.
On a national level, PEA has connections to a number of existing
networks which, in different ways, heighten the advantages of scale
and exchanges. Invest Sweden, with representatives in countries
such as India, Brazil and China, is one such example, as is the
Packaging Arena in Karlstad which links together Swedish packaging
industries.
Welcome to a growing network
The Network is constantly developing through workshops, new
business relationships and cluster meetings. The primary target
group consists of regional parties which, in various ways, form
part of the value chain. Examples include packaging companies as
well as advertising agencies that see Printed Electronics as a key
to a more extensive product portfolio. However, even direct brand
owners are aware of new business opportunities through the
incorporation of this technology.
We would like you to be a part of our Network and through our many
activities, participate in strategic collaboration discussions
involving various stakeholders. Participants of our Network can
enjoy increased business opportunities and through business
activity monitoring and future analyses carried out by PEA we can
all develop together.
All organisations actively interested in participating in the
development of Printed Electronics and who wish to see this region
become a hub in this field will be granted free membership of this
Network.
