A strong vision
The goal is to create a network of clusters based on Printed Electronics, where participating companies have the opportunity to exchange experiences and draw upon research and development results already achieved. It may for example involve partnerships in marketing activities, workshops, production and product development.
The vision for the project PEA, Printed Electronics Arena, is to
create sustainable long term growth in the region around
Norrköping. This will be achieved by commercializing and exploiting
the strong research and development programmes in the entirely new
technological field of Printed Electronics which, since 1998, have
been conducted at Linköping University and Acreo,
PEA is an ongoing concern with Norrköping Science Park as the
host. The project is funded by VINNOVA within the framework of the
VINNVÄXT programme. The aim is to create an innovation environment
surrounding PEA that will be internationally competitive within 10
years.
Funds from the European Regional Development Fund are also
invested in the project through Tillväxtverket (Swedish Agency for
Economic and Regional Growth). Regional co-financiers are the
Municipality of Norrköping and Östsam,The Regional Development
Council.
